When you join the Unicorn Authors Club, you’ll receive individual attention to jumpstart your project, alongside a supportive community of diverse authors completing books.
At the heart of our offerings is coaching—plenty of it—to help you fulfill your writing goals.
A Generous Coaching Plan with Your Membership
Our experienced writer-mentors share rigorous craft guidance through an anti-racist, pro-liberation lens.
You’ll propel your manuscript forward with two 1:1 coaching sessions per month.
We are the only program that supports your writing with two types of coaches:
- A dedicated Story/Skills coach who reads pages and gives you feedback on how to level up your writing.
- A trained Sanctuary coach who helps you strategize around inner critics, accountability, and finding joy in your creative flow.
In between sessions, you’ll keep the momentum going with group coaching, co-writing sessions, live craft talks, and abundant lessons on-demand.
It all takes place within our Unicorn Clubhouse: a beautiful online sanctuary for authors who care about justice.

Story/Skills Coaching
Our coaches review up to 20 pages of writing per session and help you solve questions around structure, craft, plot, and voice.
1 private session monthly, scheduled at your convenience
Sanctuary Coaching
Coaches help you create a personalized plan to complete your book with ease, momentum, and joyful accountability.

Café Unicorn
Write your book in facilitated co-writing sessions, with supportive prompts and check-in circles.
Tuesdays and Fridays, 12-1:30 pm Pacific (live only, not recorded)
Interactive Craft Talks
Learn from published authors who share expertise, offer prompts, and answer your questions.
2nd Monday of each month, 5 pm Pacific (or watch the recording later)
Solve Your Story Group Coaching
Brainstorm with peers and a coach to get real-time help with your book’s problems.
6 drop-in meetings per term, weekdays 10 am or 5 pm Pacific (live only, not recorded)
Private Unicorn Clubhouse
Chat with other authors and access tools for almost any writing issue you might encounter. Includes recordings of ALL past craft talks—that’s access to 4 years of magic!
